Megan Higgo
(she/her)
I'm Megan, a registered psychologist with AHPRA, holding a Master of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). My passion lies in supporting adolescents (16+) and adults on their journey to embrace their authentic selves.
Therapy can feel daunting, which is why I strive to create a comfortable and safe environment. Compassion and respect form the foundation of my approach, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship. I'm known for my authentic, creative, warm, and bubbly demeanor, embracing the messiness that comes with being human.
I take a client-centred and collaborative approach, and value going beyond the surface with mental health issues. I draw upon Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment and Schema Therapies, and Solution-Focused Therapy approaches to tailor my therapeutic style to suit my clients needs.
I aim to help build insight, understanding and strategies to empower clients towards meaningful change.
